The machine-made FIUME overprint on Hungarian postage stamps
There are two types of the machine-made overprints

By the order of the Italian National Council, which under the Allied
Administration took over all the power in Rijeka, Hungarian stamps were overprinted from December 3 to 23, 1918. Complete sheets were overprinted
with the machine-made overprint from December 3 to 5, 1918 in Urania, the printing-house in Rijeka. Only a small part was overprinted in incomplete sheets.

The hand-made FIUME overprint on Hungarian postage stamps
There are six types of the hand overprint



While complete sheets were machine overprinted in the printing-office Urania,
partial sheets, as well as single stamps, were hand overprinted in Adolf Kirchhofer & Co., the printing-house in Rijeka. It was done on December 6, 16,
20 and 23, 1918 with the overprint consisting of metal typographic characters. On December 23, the last day, all remaining Hungarian stamps from the post-office were overprinted.
